Research and Planning: MUSIC MAGAZINE SURVEY RESULTS SLIDESHARE
I conducted a survey on Survey Monkey to see what people thought about music magazines. It shows that most people would pay between 50p and £2 for a music magazine and that most people read pop magazines.
I will use these results to help me when creating my magazine and evaluate how I have used this towards the end of production.

Research and Planning: COSTUME AND PROP LIST SHAPED BY RESEARCH
I have done some research into the props and costumes which my models could wear. I based my research on two front covers of the Billboard magazine which my magazine is based on. I have analysed on the image how the item of clothing should be worn.
I have decided not to have any props because of the two examples of front covers I have chosen do not include any props.
Research and Planning: MAGAZINE DRAFT AUDIENCE INTERVIEWS
I conducted some interviews regarding the initial drafts of my music magazine. The interviews have showed me that the price for the magazine should be between £2 and £2.50. I have also learnt that the magazine does look like the genre it is supposed to be representing which is a charts music.
From the interviews, the improvements I need to make are that the cover lines should be repositioned and maybe changed and that there needs to be some more images which I will consider when producing my magazine.

Research and Planning: MASTHEAD AND SELLING LINE
Welcome to the official start of my account of AS Media Studies coursework. I will be creating a music magazine of the genre charts magazines.
My magazine will be called Spotlight and I am going for an informal but classy look.
I have used a play on words for my selling line - The UKs number one charts magazine - which relates to songs in the charts being at number one.
