These are my drafts for my music magazine. I have done a detailed draft of the front cover, contents page and an exclusive interview double page spread. I added colour of what I want my final magazine to potentially look like.

Research and Planning: PLAN FOR OCTOBER HALF TERM

Unfortunately, I am not going to have access to Photoshop over half term and therefore will not be able to do any production work. However, there is still some research and planning which I will be doing over the break.

I will continue to develop the drafts for my music magazine adding some colour to the drafts and I will document this here.

I chose 4 potential names in different fonts for my music magazine. In the end, I decided to choose In The Charts in that font and colour.

I analysed the front cover of rock and pop magazines are research for my front cover.

Research and Planning: MUSIC COLLAGE

To help me with planning to create my music magazine, I created this collage. I had to wait a while to get a copy of Billboard Magazine from my local newsagents because it had to be ordered in.

 

The purpose of this exercise was to aid me in creating my magazine. I looked at the typical artists associated with my genre and see what colours. There are colours of red, blue and yellow used throughout the magazine and some stars include Jesse Glynne, Meghan Trainor, Rihanna and John Legend.

 

I also added some features to my collage such as a drop capital, a barcode, an issue number, price and barcode and a pull quote.

Music magazine. We also did this as part of the TV drama exam unit.
